He typically finds potential victims through social media and dating apps, then integrates himself into their networks by befriending their friends. When questioned about his past or lack of friends, Ruby often claims that many people have turned against him and shares inaccurate sob stories. He may also falsely claim romantic commitments with people who have actually rejected him. Ruby has also been accused of engaging in multiple relationships at the same time for this purpose.

Ruby frequently asks to borrow money from his victims and their friends after gaining their trust, or he may seek a place to stay by sharing sob stories, such as:

• Losing access to his savings or trading account.

• Being unable to find work due to former employers sabotaging him.

• Being kicked out by his mother and needing temporary accommodation.

• He is receiving death threats.

• He has repeatedly threatened suicide to manipulate others and has faked fainting to escape difficult situations.

• In 2024, he claimed he needed funds for cancer treatment.

• He has threatened suicide many times in the past in order to escape out of situations or get what he wants.

Ruby has been known to make the following claims:

1. Grew up in the UK: This is untrue. Passport data and family sources do not support this claim, and some sources believe his British accent is fake. There is evidence to support that he spent some time in the UK, but he did not grow up there.

2. Has been known to provide a false address: When Ruby was in The Philippines, he listed a neighborhood that is well known as exclusive as his address. Investigations were made and it showed that he never resided at this given address, and that he just used this address to appear wealthier than he is.

3. Has Financial Means: Multiple outstanding debts indicate he has poor financial means.

   • He has a history of overstaying in people's homes. This pattern dates back to his time in the UK. According to a source who checked his email, there was a letter from one of his relatives reprimanding him for living rent-free in an English woman's house. In one instance, multiple people had to intervene to retrieve the homeowner's key from Joe, when he refused to leave.

   • He has been known to use borrowed money to fund a lifestyle far beyond his means. Additionally, he uses these funds to support relationships that provide him with financial benefits.

Additionally, he often claims that he has lost access to his trading / investment accounts to persuade people to loan him money with the promise of paying them back.

5. Outlandish Stories to Secure Funds: He often presents dramatic "sob stories" to obtain money, claiming that people are threatening to kill him or threatening suicide to elicit sympathy and financial support. In 2024, he even told one of his victims that he had cancer to secure funds for his luxurious lifestyle.

6. Past Relationships: He often lies about his previous romantic involvements, claiming relationships even when they were not mutual. He blames his ex-partners, labeling them as crazy, unstable and money-driven. Some of these individuals have spoken out about feeling harassed by Joseph, even after turning him down, citing instances of blackmail or persistent harassment. Joe has also been known to pursue multiple women at the same time for the purpose of scamming them.

When pressed to repay borrowed funds, he makes false promises to sell non-existent assets or to regain access to his trading account, which has no funds. Sources confirm that the assets and accounts he claims to have are fictitious.
